- Call Data: When callers contact businesses using our service, we collect caller name, phone number, service address, and a description of the issue or request.
- Business Information: We collect business owner contact information, business name, service area, and notification preferences including mobile phone numbers for SMS notifications.
- Call Transcripts and Recordings: Calls handled by our AI receptionist are transcribed to capture the caller's request accurately, and may be recorded for quality assurance purposes.
- Account and Payment Information: When you sign up we collect your name, email address, and business details. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email. Payments are processed by Stripe — we do not store your full card number.
- Website Data: We collect standard website analytics and advertising measurement data (via Google Analytics, Google Ads, and the Meta Pixel), including IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
- SMS Consent Records: We maintain records of your consent to receive SMS notifications, including the date, time, and method of consent.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide our AI receptionist services
- Send lead notifications to business owners via SMS and/or email
- Send emergency and urgent alerts via SMS
- Improve our services and call handling
- Communicate with you about your account
- Comply with legal obligations
SMS and Mobile Information
We take the privacy of your mobile information seriously:
- No Selling of Mobile Data: We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your mobile phone number or any SMS opt-in/opt-out data with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
- Limited Sharing: Your mobile phone number and SMS consent information are used solely to deliver the Blue-Caller notification service you requested.
- Service Providers: We use Telnyx as our telephony and SMS delivery provider. Telnyx processes your phone number only to deliver calls and messages on our behalf and is contractually prohibited from using your information for any other purpose.
- Opt-Out Honored: When you opt out by texting STOP, your preference is recorded immediately and no further marketing or notification messages will be sent.
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- With Business Owners: Caller information is shared with the business the caller intended to reach.
- Service Providers: We use third-party services that process data on our behalf under strict contractual obligations: Telnyx (calls, texts, and AI call handling), Deepgram (call transcription), Stripe (payment processing), Supabase (secure data storage), Google and Meta (analytics and advertising measurement), and our website and application hosting providers (Netlify and Vercel).
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
Data Retention
We retain call data and recordings for a limited period necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. SMS consent records are retained for the duration of your use of the service plus a reasonable period thereafter for compliance purposes. Business owners may request deletion of their data at any time.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
